Brilliant visit to the Heaton Park Tramway and Transport Museum this afternoon. Had an excellent ride on the tram to... finish the season. The volunteers are really knowledgable and were brilliant with our children. Will definitely visit again.read more

A superb tramway running between the park's Middleton Road gates and Boating Lake at weekends during the spring, summer... and early autumn, Sundays only in October. It's, operated by a small group of friendly, dedicated volunteers using beautifully preserved vintage trams. It runs along a variety of scenic sections with handy stops/pick ups along the way. The Boating Lake has a cafe area with good toilet facilities. The tramway also has a museum and shop. I was treated to a 5 hour tram driving experience for my birthday... it was excellent, I was made very welcome.read more

A excellent day out! The Ribble 100 & X60 exibets were at the Mnchester Trandport Museum, the Museum is a good place... to see lot of old buses & coach's.read more

An ambition achieved! Have wanted to visit this tramway for decades. Used to believe that it was only open on Sundays,... but it is open on Saturdays and Bank Holidays too. A good run and the volunteers are lovely. Complete bonus too - you can get there by tram!!!read more
