Tram Museum Open Days – Summer 2026
Sunday 5th July | Sunday 2nd August
Come and join us for a FREE afternoon out at our museum in Heaton Park. Enjoy our displays covering the story of centuries of Manchester’s tramway history, climb on board one of our vintage trams (and learn how they work) and see the latest restoration on our 1901-vintage Manchester tramcar, 173.
Our fully stocked giftshop will be open too, with a delightful range of tramcar models, gifts, and rare transport books at unbeatable prices.
More attractions are in the planning for both days – more details of which we’ll be able to share soon, as well as events and open days for the rest of 2026.
(Our heritage tramcars are currently out of service subject to ongoing electrical substation works. We don’t currently have a set date for recommencing operation.)
