Tram Driver Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We offer two types of Tram Driver Experiences (TDE’s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taster TDE – \u00a325<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 30 minute session which will see you recieve a quick safety demonstration, be shown the controls of the tram and drive two round trip along our double track from Depot to Middleton Road, just over half a mile total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taster TDE’s operate on select days throughout the year and can be booked at the bottom of this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full Day TDE<\/strong> – \u00a3150<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our full day package starts the day at 11am where you will meet your instructor and guard followed by a safety briefing and a demonstration of the tramcar controls. Driving will begin initially with several trips on our quieter double track section from Depot to Middleton Road while the participant gets a feel for operating the car, once the instructor is happy the rest of the day will be spent driving the full length of our line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to our location and for insurance purposes all TDE participants must be over the age of 21, hold a valid, full UK driving licence and be physically able to stand for the full duration of the course. Tramcars are selected on a case by case basis and we are unable to garuntee a specific tramcar for the course. Heaton Park Tramway and its officers reserve the right to cancel any courses, at any time, without cause or refund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
